Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse for NICU care on the night shift. You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process and guide patient/family teaching while mentoring other nursing staff.

Current RN license, BLS and NRP certificates are required; 1 year in acute care with NICU experience is expected; BSN is preferred. A sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates to join a committed, award-winning team.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN License.
BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
NRP (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
Provide for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
Utilize the chain of command to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post delivery stabilization through discharge.
NICU: provide direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to neonates.
