Job Overview

The New Grad Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing exceptional entry-level nursing care to patients by:

  • Assessing patient status with strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Caring for patients with medical and surgical diagnoses
  • Implementing clinical nursing interventions
  • Developing and executing patient care plans to improve outcomes
  • Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment
Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Monitor vital signs, administer IV medications, and assess patient conditions
  • Perform at a higher patient-to-nurse ratio if needed
  • Update and revise care plans to meet expected outcomes
  • Administer medications safely according to policies and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
Licensing & Certifications
  • Current RN licensure or RN application in the state
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred, must obtain before direct patient care)
