Job summary

The Oklahoma State University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care in line with OSUMC standards on the assigned unit. The RN must provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate growth and development understanding across the patient lifespan.

Responsibilities include data assessment, identifying patient needs, developing and modifying the plan of care, and complying with Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act rules.

Qualifications

• Education: 2 year / Associate Degree or Diploma Nurse.
• License/Certification: Current RN - OK.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience: Less than one year.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care activities per OSUMC standards.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and assess data reflecting patient status across the lifespan.
• Develop and modify the plan of care in accordance with patient needs and the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. The RN is to plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with OSUMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
