Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with departmental requirements and standards of practice for your state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in case of unintended responses.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving issues.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.

Qualifications needed:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
  • If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years.
  • Experience in Neuroscience preferred.
  • Current RN license in Texas or a compact license.
  • Current BLS provider certification from AHA or ARC.
