Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational mission, values, and service standards.
• Meets unit-specific physical demands including standing and walking most of the time on duty, significant bending and stooping, and lifting and turning patients with assistance.
• High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.

Description:Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and relevant regulations.Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational mission, values, and service standards.Meets unit-specific physical demands including standing and walking most of the time on duty, significant bending and stooping, and lifting and turning patients with assistance.May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week according to patient care requirements.High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.Ensures a strong focus on safety and innovation in patient care delivery.Determined, decisive, and flexible individuals will fit well in this role.Dress code requires black scrubs.Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, and minimal kneeling and crawling.
