Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on FT Nights. You will deliver patient care using the Nursing Process, assess patients, and coordinate interventions on a high-acuity telemetry unit.

The PCU handles stroke, neuro and cardiac patients; requires ADN or Diploma with RN license, BSN preferred, and current BCLS/ACLS. Three 12s; weekend rotations; CPR.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ADN required for RN licensure.
• BSN preferred for this role.
• RN must meet Texas Nurse Practice Act requirements.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire or within specified timelines.
• CPI training within 60 days of hire; PCCN/SRN certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient, plans care, intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions and updates plans.
• Maintains safety and infection control measures across shifts.
• Coordinates patient information during transfers and handoffs.
• Supports continuity of care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.
