Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro PCU travel assignment in Castro Valley, CA. This daytime, 12-hour shift requires a CA RN license and current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications, with 2+ years in stepdown or telemetry.

You will care for mixed neuro/stepdown patients in a 30-bed unit with ratios around 3:1 to 4:1 for telemetry and 1:3 to 1:5 for stepdown, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Description:Neuro Stepdown Nurse needed.Must be comfortable with patient ratios between 1:3-5.Candidates must have experience in Stepdown or Telemetry units.Previous charge experience preferred.Experience on a combination unit with Step Down and Telemetry patients is required.The unit caters to adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of 29.The patient population primarily includes those with stroke and other neuro-related diagnoses.Special procedures and unit details involve caring for a 30-bed unit with mixed ratios.Stepdown patients have ratios of 3:1 while telemetry patients have ratios of 4:1.Candidates should possess skills in managing various critical care and telemetry tasks including central line management and seizure disorder care.Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services.Potential candidates should be comfortable with various neuro-related procedures and patient management protocols.Work history verification for the past 7 years is required.Compliance documents must be completed prior to the start date.
