Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX seeks an experienced RN to join the Neuro PCU team. This 38-bed telemetry unit treats a wide range of neuro conditions, including seizures, stroke and neurosurgery, with a team nursing model that emphasizes collaboration and safety.

You will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care on day or night shifts and participate in continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• 12–18 months RN experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Neuro PCU telemetry unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

• Aneurysm Clip and Coils
• Glioblastomas
• Carotid Endarterectomy
• TIA
• Stroke – Hemorrhagic and Ischemic

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
• Preferred 12-18 Months of RN experience, Acute Care or Hospital setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• Functions competently and effectively under pressure and emergency situations

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
