Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work with medical providers in pre- and post-operative settings, advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

You will document care, perform nursing processes, and administer medications while maintaining knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or appropriate compact state.
• Appropriate communication skills.
• Education - ASN, BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Promotes customer service initiatives along with Skyline Medical Center Service Values. (HCAHPS)
• All behaviors fully support positive customer service (HCAHPS)
• Documents all patient care.
• Utilized Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
• Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
• Promotes compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
