Job summary

Come join Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, where you will deliver direct nursing care on the 8100 Family Practice Unit, a high-acuity Neuro/Cardiac Telemetry unit. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and current state certification required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• External applicants: two years of related nursing experience.
• Internal applicants: probationary period with Chief Nursing Officer approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Maintain professional growth through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
