Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN for the Acute Care Neurology and Cardiac Telemetry unit to work nights. The 8100 Family Practice Unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced setting requiring patient-centered care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver direct nursing care, assess and plan care, and educate patients and families while maintaining safety and quality standards in a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in developing plans of care, coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Provide nursing care, administer treatments and medication and document.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes, contribute to the improvement of care and participate in the quality improvement process.
• Delegate tasks/assignments, pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications, maintain applicable certification/licensure.
