Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks an experienced registered nurse for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Level III 15-bed unit cares for very preterm to term infants with respiratory support, feeding, withdrawal, and other neonatal needs.

The nurse will contribute to evidence-based care, participate in high-risk deliveries, and collaborate with families and the care team to promote skin-to-skin, breastfeeding, and safe sleep practices.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Ohio.
• Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with families and team members.
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in care delivery.

Duties

The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The nurse utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. All care is provided based on the concepts inherent in the model of care which promotes an ongoing partnership between patients, families, and the team of healthcare providers. The care is culturally based and age specific. The nurse adheres to the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and to the scope of practice described in the applicable Nurse Practice Act.

Unit Description

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU):

• The level III NICU is a new 15-bed unit.
• The NICU can care for very preterm, 28 weeks gestation, to term infants that require additional support.
• The range of medical conditions includes but is not limited to respiratory support, feeding assistance, neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, glucose instability, and antibiotic therapy.
• Nurses attend all high-risk deliveries and assist with initial assessments as needed.
• Staff provide evidence-based care and place special emphasis on skin-to-skin, breastfeeding, and safe sleep practices.

Schedule Notes
