Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently apply the nursing process, delivering safe and effective care to a patient group. You will work with physicians, staff, other departments and families in a coordinated team approach, while upholding the California Nurse Practice Act.

Required are a CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, NRP; AFM within 6 months; LA City Fire Card and VIP within 6 months; and at least 2 years of experience or completion of a training program. Shift: Days.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required.
• NRP certification from American Academy of Pediatrics required.
• AFM certification within 6 months of employment; process detailed in orientation.
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment.
• VIP training within 6 months of employment.
• Two years of experience or acceptance/completion of a training program.

Responsibilities

• Independently utilize the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic and efficient patient care.
• Deliver individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family.
• Comply with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.
