Job summary

New York Imaging is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Cyberknife/Navigator to support radiation oncology patients in Setauket and Bohemia, NY. This role involves guiding patients through treatment, educating them, and coordinating appointments within an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has NY RN license, BLS, and outpatient experience, with strong communication and EMR skills. Travel between NYI locations may be required; competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Valid New York State RN license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Minimum two years of outpatient medical office experience.
Patient navigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with radiation oncology team to execute patient care plans.
Guide patients through treatment, educate, and schedule appointments as needed.
Facilitate communication between patients, physicians, and referring doctors.
Navigate patients for lung cancer screenings, including eligibility and scheduling.
Work with the lung program team to review findings and coordinate care.
Ensure patients and caregivers understand and adhere to treatment plans.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
