Job summary

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC) seeks a NATCEP Instructor (RN) to establish a supportive learning environment for a diverse workforce. The role involves planning, teaching, and managing NATCEP across classroom, lab, and clinical settings, ensuring alignment with PDE and OBRA standards.

The instructor will develop and update curriculum, supervise student evaluations, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with NPRC staff and clinical sites to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Active PA RN license with at least 2 years of experience.
• At least 1 year RN experience in long-term care; direct care, supervision, or education.
• CHRI without prohibitive offenses or pending charges at time of employment.
• Current negative TB test or equivalent (Mantoux/QuantiFERON).
• Must complete Teaching-The-Educator Workshop before teaching Nurse Aides.
• Must be approved by PA Department of Education before teaching begins.
• Understand PDE regulatory requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills.
• Dedication to working with a diverse student population.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish a supportive learning environment for a diverse workforce.
• Plan, teach, and manage NATCEP in classroom, lab, and clinical sites.
• Develop and update program materials to meet needs and standards.
• Coordinate NATCEP curriculum to ensure OBRA and PDE compliance.
• Conduct and document student competency evaluations.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready student records.
• Ensure instructional materials, quizzes, and exams are current and evidence-based.
• Provide remediation and individualized instruction.
• Coordinate with NPRC staff and clinical sites.
• Attend required meetings and maintain professional standards.
