Job summary

Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville, PA, invites applications for a full-time Nurse Aide Training Program instructor to oversee NATCEP curriculum delivery. The role requires ensuring current, compliant content and coordinating with instructors to meet program objectives under state and federal regulations.

The successful candidate will review curricula annually, guide assistants, provide remediation, and participate in PDE compliance reviews.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license without limitations.
• Two years’ experience as an LPN with at least one year in long-term care.
• TTE certificate and CHRI acceptable per state regulations.
• Approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Review curriculum at least annually and revise as needed to keep current.
• Ensure quizzes, tests and all instructional materials are relevant to the curriculum.
• Assists with resolving student and staff issues.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Instructors and Resource Instructors to ensure the program objectives are met.
• Provide remedial assistance to students as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participates in the compliance review process conducted by PDE.
• Plan, develop, and provide the educational curriculum for the Nurse Aide Training Program to meet federal and state requirements.
• Provide leadership in formulating goals and objectives of the Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Strives to remain current in professional practice.
• Assists in interviewing and enrolling students.

Requirements

• RN Supervisor must first be approved
• RN supervisor must be available by telephone/telecommunications when NATCEP instruction is taking place and must be permitted to cease nursing duties should the instructor require assistance.
• RN supervisor must sign the PA Nurse Aide Training report, Instructor schedule and Performance Checklist for each student.

Primary Functions
