Job summary

Lehigh Carbon Community College seeks an RN Supervisor to lead NATCEP Nurse Aide Training, ensuring curriculum compliance with federal and state rules while guiding instructors and maintaining program objectives.

The role requires an LPN license, two years of LPN experience (including long-term care), and PDE-approved credentials. The RN Supervisor coordinates instruction, signs required reports, and ensures ongoing curriculum relevance.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license without limitations.
• Two years’ experience as an LPN with at least one year in long-term care.
• TTE certificate and CHRI acceptable per P.L. 169 of 1997.
• Approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the curriculum is current and accurate.
• Instruct the NATCEP approved curriculum in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Review curriculum at least annually and revise as needed to stay current.
• Ensure quizzes, tests and all instructional materials are relevant to the curriculum.
• Assist with resolving student and staff issues.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Instructors and Resource Instructors to ensure program objectives are met.
• Provide remedial assistance to students as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participate in PDE compliance review processes.
• Plan, develop, and provide the educational curriculum to meet requirements.
• Provide leadership in formulating goals and objectives of the Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Strive to remain current in professional practice.
• Assist in interviewing and enrolling students.

Requirements

• RN Supervisor must first be approved
• RN supervisor must be available by telephone/telecommunications when NATCEP instruction is taking place and must be permitted to cease nursing duties should the instructor require assistance.
• RN supervisor must sign the PA Nurse Aide Training report, Instructor schedule and Performance Checklist for each student.
