Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for a 13-week Medical-Surgical Telemetry assignment in Morristown, TN. The role is night shift with 12-hour shifts and a 1:7 patient ratio on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. Must have a Tennessee RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, central line care, and dysrhythmia interpretation. BLS is required, NIHSS can be obtained after offer, ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide night-shift care on MS Tele with 1:7 patient ratio.
• Float to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, ER Holding, or PCU/Stepdown as needed.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and central line care as required.
• Maintain Cerner charting and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.

Must be open to floating to any Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, ER Holding, or possibly PCU/Stepdown depending on skills and needs.

Description:Must be available to work 6 weekend nights per 6-week schedule and holidays as needed.Patient ratio is 1:7.Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated.This policy applies to major holidays throughout the year.Travelers may address any holiday time off directly with the manager after arriving onsite for their assignment.Previous charge experience preferred.Experience with Cerner charting system is required.Skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and cardiac telemetry.Experience in central line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and oxygen administration is also required.Candidates should work with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and respiratory services.Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics with various medical conditions.The unit cares for patients with COPD, diabetes, and those needing orthopedic, general, gynecological surgical care, as well as palliative and hospice patients.Floating policies align with current standards to ensure appropriate orientation to new units.Modules for training will be completed during the contract period.
