Job summary

Description:Travel RN position available for Med Surge unit.The unit consists of 32 beds.There is a mix of RN, LVN, and PCT staff.The night shift typically has 1 Charge Nurse, 4-5 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), and 2-3 PCTs.The patient ratio is 1 nurse per 6 patients.The unit is equipped with Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines.The electronic medical record system is Meditech.Floating may occur to a sister department or Inpatient Rehab as needed.Typical procedures performed include patient ambulation and wound care as needed.The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and be a team player.There is a strong department culture where staff support one another during busy shifts.An admission/discharge team is available to assist with the workflow for Med Surge patients.
