Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality care across the patient lifecycle. You will implement nursing processes, communicate effectively with leaders, and ensure standards of practice are met in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires active RN licensure in Georgia, BLS and ACLS, and 1–2 years in cardiology, cath lab, IR, or ED. Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license (or multi-state license) required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1-2 years in Diagnostic Cardiology / Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology / ED.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of quality nursing care from birth through the lifecycle.

Overview:

Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

• Requirements and Qualifications

  Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

  Licensure: Active, unencumbered Georgia State Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license

  Required: BLS and ACLS certifications

  Required experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Emergency Department setting

  Skills: Expert knowledge of cardiac rhythms, cardiovascular pharmacology, and a high success rate with difficult IV sticks
