Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care from birth through the lifecycle. The role requires applying nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while adhering to organizational policies.

The nurse will act as a resource for staff, communicate department issues to leaders, and ensure standards of practice are maintained. A Georgia RN license and BLS/ACLS are required, with 1–2 years in relevant cardiac or emergency

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Active Georgia State RN license or multistate compact license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 1–2 years of experience in Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, IR, or ED

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care from birth through the lifecycle.
• Provide clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicate patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leaders.

Overview:

Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

• Requirements and Qualifications

  Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

  Licensure: Active, unencumbered Georgia State Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license

  Required: BLS and ACLS certifications

  Required experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Emergency Department setting

  Skills: Expert knowledge of cardiac rhythms, cardiovascular pharmacology, and a high success rate with difficult IV sticks
