Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle. The nurse will coordinate patient care and provide guidance to staff during the shift.

The role requires active RN licensure in Georgia (or compact), BLS and ACLS, and 1–2 years in cardiology, cath lab, interventional radiology, or ED. Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and IV access is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Georgia State RN license or multi-state license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years experience in a Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or ED setting.

Overview:

Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  Skills: Expert knowledge of cardiac rhythms, cardiovascular pharmacology, and a high success rate with difficult IV sticks
