Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the 16300 Surgical Progressive/Intermediate Care Unit (163PCU). This 19-bed unit cares for high-acuity post-operative patients across abdominal transplant, HPB, ENT, plastics/orthopedics, and trauma services.

Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and full-time day/night options available. Ideal candidates include current RN license holders with a nursing diploma/associate's degree; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• RN license required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care.
• Educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment home care.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements and documents individualized plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Ensures clear communication of the plan of care across the continuum.
