Description:We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our ICU.The unit consists of 32 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1.Unit staffing includes an on-site Unit Secretary during operational hours.The facility utilizes a Meditech documentation system.Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.Floating may occur to similar units as necessary.Patient experience requires a minimum of two years of ICU experience, with preference for those with critical care backgrounds.Key skills include trauma patient management, IV administration of vasoactive medications, and ventilator and chest tube management.Competence in post-operative patient care and cardiac rhythm identification is also required.Hemodynamic monitoring and care of stroke patients are essential components of this role.Procedures performed on this unit include chest tube placement, ventriculostomy, moderate sedation, CRRT, and therapeutic hypothermia.Experience with ECMO, arterial line, and central line placement is highly preferred.Dress code requires navy scrub tops without t-shirts, and navy or black scrub bottoms.Jackes must be solid navy, white, or black, along with undershirts in the same color scheme.The unit is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 1 Trauma Center.We offer a supportive environment with opportunities to work with new technologies and experienced staff.
