Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in MICU to join our night-shift team for an estimated 13-week contract in Columbus, OH. The RN will provide critical care to patients with complex conditions, including respiratory failure and sepsis, under the supervision of charge and unit leadership.

Candidates must have at least 2 years in MICU, a valid RN license in Ohio, and certifications (BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS). EPIC experience is preferred and ventilator care is routine.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of MICU experience.
  • Valid Ohio nursing license.
  • BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for MICU patients during night shifts (12-hour shifts).
  • Follow 3-shift weekly schedule with every other weekend.
  • Manage patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver and renal failure.
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; care for ventilated patients.
  • Proficiency in EPIC documentation and telemetric monitoring.
  • Float to different units as needed; maintain patient safety and assigned ratios.

Description:The Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will work night shifts.Nurses will be scheduled for 3 shifts a week.Every other weekend is required.The estimated patient ratios are 1:1-2.Nurses will provide care for patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), liver failure, and renal failure.Proficiency in EPIC documentation system is preferred.Special procedures include continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and externalized IV pumps for COVID+ patients.Special equipment knowledge includes NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator.The role requires the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and care of ventilated patients.Nurses will be required to float to different units within the organization as needed.Two professional references are required, with one from a manager or director.All candidates must be compliant with the credentialing process.
