Job summary

Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, MO is seeking a registered nurse to join the ER team on a PRN nights schedule. You will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and Mercy standards.

Requirements include an RN license in the hiring state or compact, graduation from an accredited nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN), and Basic Life Support with possible ACLS/NRP/ENPC as unit needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an approved nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS/NRP/ENPC as required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate with ER department and other units to ensure safe care.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality per Mercy standards.

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

- Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
