Northwell Health's Norwalk Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care within the psych unit. The role collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to assess needs, plan and evaluate care in alignment with hospital philosophy and nursing standards.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Associate's required, Bachelor's preferred) and a CT RN license; ANA certifications or Med-Surg certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Level Degree (required) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current and unobstructed Connecticut Registered Nurse License (CT Hospitals).
• American Nurses Association endorsed Certifications or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Completes patient assessment and reassessment as clinically indicated.
• Documents detailed information incorporating the plan of care, interventions and outcomes.
• Ensures appropriate documentation based on the level of care, including transfer/discharge docs.
• Follows the five Rights of Medication Administration and verbalizes medications to patients and families.
• Coordinates and supervises delivery of nursing care and delegates tasks.
