Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Psych Unit to provide direct patient care guided by the ANA scope of practice. The RN will collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, evaluate outcomes, and ensure quality nursing care.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, administering medications, ensuring patient safety, and participating in teaching and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree (required) or Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• CT Registered Nurse license and active status required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care following ANA scope and standards.
• Assess and document patient conditions and care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor for safety and effectiveness.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to ensure safe, quality care.
• Lead handoffs and shift reports with accuracy and professionalism.
• Customer safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
