Job summary

Parkridge Valley is hiring an RN for inpatient mental health intake and coordination of care. You will work with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring accurate documentation and patient education.

Role requires compliance with licensure and certification timelines; benefits include comprehensive health coverage and education support. This position offers a stable full-time schedule in our Chattanooga campuses.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• RN – Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with physicians.
• Collaborate with units, program staff and other departments to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Provide patient education while administering medication.
• Practice safe medication administration with scanning of patient and medications.
• Scan all medications and patients using eMar.
• Follow guidelines for reconciliation of medications on admission, transfer and discharge.
• Assign and conduct appropriate interventions within the milieu for behavioral and safe management of patients.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Demonstrate least restrictive interventions appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating treatment, patient safety and programs.
• Assess patient’s response to treatment and safety interventions and document accordingly.
• Assist patients and families to understand diagnosis and prescribed treatment.
• Document interventions and patient responses in Recovery Plan.
• Renew licenses as required.
• Complete mandatory education, health screening, CPR, CPI within designated time frame and provide verification.
• Transcribe orders accurately and scan to pharmacy; provide new patient onboarding.
• Support unit staff with discharging patients.
