Job summary

MePA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Mental Health Care Manager in an outpatient clinic. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for Veterans with varied mental health needs, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include triage, care coordination, and advocacy, with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in the VA Education Loan Repayment Program (EDRP).

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English reading and writing.
• Experience in mental health case management or primary care is preferred.
• Ability to assess Veterans, plan care, and coordinate services.

Responsibilities

• Provide veteran-centered mental health care in outpatient settings.
• Perform assessments, planning, interventions, and treatment evaluation.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and family in care planning.
• Provide follow-up and triage via phone or direct contact when needed.
• Advocate for Veterans and communicate options to support recovery.
