Job summary

Piedmont Eastside- Snellville, GA is seeking an RN for the Ortho/Neuro unit on full-time days. The role features a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and focuses on acute care in a 17-bed hybrid unit caring for CVA/TIA and post-operative knee, hip, and spinal surgery patients.

The staff nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care, follow nursing processes, and uphold standards. Education includes BSN preferred; GA RN licensure and BLS required; Epic EHR experience is used daily.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or multistate license (NLC/eNCL).
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients across the lifecycle using the nursing process.
• Maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care with assigned staff.

RN - Ortho/Neuro, Full Time Days

Joint & Spine/ Neuroscience Unit Profile (Med Surg 3)

We are a 17-bed hybrid unit, specializing in acute CVA's and TIA's, along with post-operative care of knee, hip, and spinal surgery patients. In addition, we handle all types of medical/ surgical patients.

Standards of practice and advantages:

• Bedside report handoff at change of shift
• Purposeful Rounding for safety and service
• Quality initiatives such as pain assessment and reassessment, pressure ulcer prevention, infection prevention strategies for central lines and indwelling urinary catheters, etc.

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
