Job summary

Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA, is seeking an RN for Ortho/Neuro on a full-time day shift. The unit handles acute care needs with emphasis on hip/knee/spine surgery and CVA/TIA care, supported by EPIC and virtual nursing resources.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Georgia RN licensure, and BCLS. New grads eligible; hospital experience preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered.

Joint & Spine/ Neuroscience Unit Profile (Med Surg 3)

We are a 17-bed hybrid unit, specializing in acute CVA's and TIA's, along with post-operative care of knee, hip, and spinal surgery patients. In addition, we handle all types of medical/ surgical patients.

Standards Of Practice And Advantages

• Bedside report handoff at change of shift

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
