Job summary

ARMStaffing in Seattle, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg Orthopedics for a 13-week contract. You will provide compassionate nursing care in a high-acuity orthopedic trauma unit, including spine injuries and fractures, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal recovery.

Shifts are nights, 3-12 hour blocks from 19:00 to 07:30. Requires Epic charting proficiency, current BCLS certification, and at least 2 years of RN experience (charge RN preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience; charge RN preferred.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma center desirable.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• Proficient in Epic charting system.

Job Description

This role is critical for providing high-quality nursing care to patients particularly dealing with orthopedic trauma, including spine injuries and femoral fractures. You will be equipped to manage a diverse patient demographic, offering essential services to ensure optimal recovery and enhanced patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a high-acuity orthopedic trauma unit.
• Manage diverse clinical presentations in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Conduct thorough assessments and document care in electronic medical records (Epic).
• Assist with orthopedic procedures and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Preferred at least 2 years of RN experience, with charge RN experience preferred.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma center is highly desired.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• Proficiency in Epic charting system.
• Ability to manage specialized equipment and care protocols.
• Comfort with a wide variety of patient care situations including trauma and post-operative management.
