Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a Travel Registered Nurse for Orthopedics in Tallahassee, FL. This 13-week assignment requires 12-hour shifts, including weekends, in the Orthopedics unit.

You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and partner with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes, with hourly rounding and timely response to call lights. Florida RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must have prior orthopedic nursing experience.
• Current Florida RN license.
• BLS certification (AHA approved).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Orthopedics unit, ensuring a safe and compassionate environment.
• Perform IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, dressing changes, and NG tube insertions.
• Conduct regular patient assessments and document changes in the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and discharge planning.
• Engage in patient education and facilitate communication with patients and families.

Job Description

The Travel Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the Orthopedics unit. This includes assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will also participate in purposeful hourly rounding and timely response to call lights.
