Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day Shift) for a 13-week contract in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The RN will manage a 1:6 patient ratio on a Medical-Surgical unit in an acute care setting and work with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Experience with Epic charting and wound care is required, including familiarity with wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical dressings. BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in South Carolina or Compact
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Medical-Surgical unit
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care on a Medical-Surgical unit.
• Monitor and manage patient vitals and symptoms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize wound care techniques including Wound Vac management.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to evaluate care plans.
• Conduct discharge planning and patient education.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires a 3x12 hour shift, working days from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. The candidate will be required to work every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a Medical-Surgical unit within an acute care hospital setting. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:6 and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes. Familiarity with Epic charting is required, and experience with Wound Vac, chest tubes, and surgical dressings is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care on a Medical-Surgical unit, focusing on individuals with various health conditions.
• Monitor and manage patient vital signs and symptoms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in a Medical-Surgical setting.
• Experience with wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical dressings.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current South Carolina RN license or Compact license required before the start date.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
