Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical assignment in Bad Axe, MI. This 13-week contract requires the RN to work a 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM shift, delivering direct and indirect patient care across age groups in a hospital setting.

The RN will perform assessments, plan and implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes while collaborating with the care team. Michigan RN licensure (LARA/Nursys) and BLS are required; an RN skills checklist must be current.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Medical/Surgical experience
• ICU experience is preferred
• Current Michigan RN license verification (LARA and Nursys)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• A skills checklist completed within the past year for RN specialties is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement nursing interventions to achieve desired health outcomes.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who provides both direct and indirect care for a group of patients across various age populations. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN conducts assessments that encompass biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors. Responsibilities include planning and prescribing nursing interventions, implementing care plans, and evaluating the efficacy of care rendered. The RN must demonstrate a thorough understanding of growth and development principles and possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data appropriate to age and status in alignment with unit and hospital policies and procedures.
