Job summary

St. David's Georgetown Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical care. You will assess patients at admission and during shifts, administer medications, monitor responses, and document care thoroughly in the medical record.

You will educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans, while providing empathetic, patient-centered care. Collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes and adherence to nursing standards.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and active state license in Texas (or willingness to obtain)
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of start date
• Strong patient-care and communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during each shift, report changes promptly
• Administer medications, monitor response, and document care in medical records
• Provide prompt, compassionate patient care and respond to requests from patients and families
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps
