Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, seeks a Registered Nurse on Med-Surg.

You will deliver high-quality patient-centered care in collaboration with providers and care teams, following established nursing models, and advocate for patients and families to improve outcomes. The role emphasizes assessment at admission and each shift, administering medications, documenting care, educating patients and families, and responding promptly to requests.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse and Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families about condition and treatment plans.
