Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical unit to provide direct patient care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with the care team to implement plans, administer medications, collect specimens, and support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• License: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Handle with Care certification preference noted in posting.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition; communicates with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
