Job summary

Sadiant in Cleveland, TN is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Orthopedic RN to support patients recovering from joint replacements, fractures, and spine surgeries. Daily duties include post-op assessments, pain control, wound care, and monitoring for complications while collaborating with orthopedic surgeons.

Ideal candidate can pick up 2 shifts weekly, work two weekends every six weeks, and handle holidays. AHL immunizations and certifications are required, with 1 year of orthopedic Med/Surg RN

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year Med Surg Ortho RN experience.
• Immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Flu, TB or declinations.

Responsibilities

• Assess post-operative patients and manage pain, wounds and dressings.
• Monitor for complications such as infection or blood clots.
• Assist mobility protocols and coordinate physical therapy sessions.
• Document recovery progress and communicate with orthopedic surgeons.

• WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
• Med/Surg Ortho RNs care for patients recovering from joint replacements, fractures, and spine surgeries. Daily duties include post-op assessments, pain management, wound and dressing care, and monitoring for complications like blood clots or infection. RNs assist with mobility protocols, coordinate physical therapy sessions, manage traction or immobilization devices, and educate patients on weight-bearing restrictions and home care. They document recovery progress and collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons throughout each shift.
