Job summary

Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical/Ortho-Neuro-Ortho unit on the night shift. The unit cares for adults with stroke, orthopedic and neuro-spine conditions, with a Virtual Nurse and Together Team Model to support bedside staff.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, CT RN license, and BLS/CPR certification, with preference for BSN and 1+ year acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• RN License in Connecticut required.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and perform treatments per hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, rehabilitation, and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety and quality standards.
