Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Current license in the state of Iowa.
• Fluent English, multicultural sensitivity and patient focus.
• Microsoft Office – basic computer skills.
• Critical thinking with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of patients and families, providing teaching and referrals for continuity of care.
• Develops an individual care plan with patient/family and health team; documents care activities.
• Delivers high quality nursing care using the nursing process per unit policies and standards.
• Delegates tasks and provides direction to other healthcare staff involved in the plan of care.
• Uses critical thinking to make independent judgments and maintains accountability for patient conditions.
• Engages in professional development and knowledge sharing to enhance nursing practice.
• Assesses teaching needs and selects appropriate education strategies for patients and families.
