Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Dubuque, IA, seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical unit. This full-time day shift position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, a 7:00 am–7:00 pm schedule, and 72 hours per pay period with holiday and every third weekend rotation.

You will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for medical-surgical patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols.
