Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lees Summit, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit. The RN will work independently within the nursing process, coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, delegate tasks, and support new staff as a clinical resource.

The role emphasizes leadership within the unit and collaboration with advancing technology and a virtual nurse team. This Full Time Night position provides 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, with opportunities to expand

Qualifications

• 1 year of applicable nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Identifies hospital resources. Serves as a clinical resource for new employees. Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit. As an experienced RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patient care processes, conditions, and diagnoses. This position will give you the opportunity to learn and expand your nursing skills. You will be supported by leading technology and our virtual nurse team who will provide assistance for floor nurses with oversight, education, documentation, and monitoring to ensure the patients receive exceptional care.

Shift Details: This position is Full Time Nights (3, 12-hr shifts per week)

The Work:

• Function independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process

• Coordinate the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team

• Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff

• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
