Job summary

Saint Luke's East is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intermediate team on a 30-bed unit caring for diverse diagnoses including surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients. This part-time night position offers 12-hour shifts and emphasizes teamwork, quality patient care, and opportunities for growth.

You will apply the nursing process, delegate tasks, and coordinate care for a group of patients in collaboration with the health care team, while adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.
• RN licensure in the U.S. (RN - Various).

Responsibilities

• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process and coordinating care for a group of patients.
• Supervise other patient care staff and delegate tasks.
• Coordinate plan of care for a group of patients with the health care team.
• Provide care for surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients on a 30-bed unit.

Schedule: Part Time, Nights (2, 12 hour shifts)

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intermediate team. Medical intermediate is a 30-bed unit that cares for a variety of diagnosis & complex medical conditions including the care of surgical, cardiac, & stroke patients. The nursing team on medical intermediate values unit teamwork, quality patient care, & has a passion for growth/development. With several experienced charge nurses who joined the team upon the units opening, this group has a strong foundation & are eagerly looking forward to growing our team.

Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.
