Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree in Nursing required.

• Delegate and supervise patient-care tasks and supervise other care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for assigned patients and consult with the care team to ensure outcomes.
• Follow policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures of the unit.

Job Description Saint Luke's East is looking to add to the Medical Intermediate team! Schedule: Full Time, Nights (3, 12 hour shifts)

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intermediate team. Medical intermediate is a 30-bed unit that cares for a variety of diagnosis & complex medical conditions including the care of surgical, cardiac, & stroke patients. The nursing team on medical intermediate values unit teamwork, quality patient care, & has a passion for growth/development. With several experienced charge nurses who joined the team upon the units opening, this group has a strong foundation & are eagerly looking forward to growing our team.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience: 1 year Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various Associate Degree
