Job summary

Saint Luke's East is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Tier I Float Pool, floating to Medical Intermediate units. This part-time position (24 hours) covers daytime shifts, offering exposure to multiple units and collaborative teams.

The RN will use the nursing process to provide patient care, delegate tasks, supervise staff, and coordinate care plans for a defined patient group, aligning with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year of applicable RN experience.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Associate Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to plan and deliver patient care.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for assigned patients and consult with the health care team as needed.

Schedule

The Medical Intermediate Float Pool is looking for an RN who wants to gain experience in various units while working in a variety of medical intermediate units. Opportunity to work with collaborative multi-disciplinary teams and a supportive leadership team.

Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks, and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
