Atrium Health is seeking a registered nurse to join our care teams in North Carolina. The role centers on delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care across the continuum, while engaging patients and families and ensuring safety through standardized protocols and continuous improvement.

The RN will utilize the nursing process, document thoroughly in the EHR, and collaborate with physicians and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges in the state(s) where practice occurs.
• BLS certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within the service area as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care per department policies and standards.
