Job summary

WellSpan Waynesboro Med Surg seeks a licensed registered nurse to provide professional care on a busy unit serving adults with acute and chronic conditions. You will function as the primary nurse, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based treatment.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate documentation, critical thinking, and ongoing professional development in a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma Program or Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• No experience is required.
• Current RN license required upon hire; multi-state license acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care at beginner practitioner level per nursing process.
• Act as primary nurse for patients on the unit; coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Safely administer prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions.
• Document patient response and progress; use EMR for documentation; monitor indicators.
• Promote patient safety and collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
