Job summary

Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg/Telemetry on a PRN basis. The position covers nights (7p–7a) with a minimum of 36 hours in a six-week period, demanding strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN licensure and BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and clinical protocols.
• Documents findings accurately and reports changes in condition to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Develops, implements and evaluates individualized care plans based on assessments.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Maintains infection control practices and ensures patient safety and comfort.
